MCENTEE’S Tea scooped a triple win at the Blas National Food Awards 2019, taking home gold, silver and bronze for their traditional Irish loose leaf teas.
‘We are delighted to win Gold, Silver and Bronze for our traditional Irish loose leaf Teas in Blas na hÉireann, we only recently launched our range of quality teas in 2018 and managed to dominate the Tea category in our first year participating in the event,’ said owner and director Helen McEntee.
Everyone at McEntee’s Tea are delighted with our three Awards from Blas National Food Awards in Dingle. We received a Gold for our Irish Mint and Nettle Infusion, Silver for the Gold Blend and Bronze for the Irish Breakfast Blend.
McEntee’s Fine Teas is a family business run by married couple, Donal and Helen McEntee in Co. Louth. With a unique mix of experience and backgrounds Donal and Helen, both passionate tea drinkers, brought together the idea of McEntee’s Tea from their office on the family farm in Charlestown, Co. Louth. Donal comes from a farming family in the heart of Co. Louth and decided a number of years ago to leave the International Finance Sector to follow his passion for tea, or more specifically “Irish Blends of loose leaf tea”, The perfect blends to make the perfect moment. Helen comes from the Isle of Man and has lived in Drogheda for nearly 20 years. With her background in Food & Food Marketing in the UK, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and latterly in E-Business in Ireland, she gained extensive experience in food product development and marketing. They have a family of three active young boys all excited about the family’s venture into Tea.
